Smaug’s Song

So I finally finished my first of two new Hobbit inspired songs. As a fully obsessed “Cumberbitch” I can safely say this was the most enjoyable song to write and play with. I believe a Sherlock song may be on it’s way too so watch this space.

I hope you enjoy it and feel free to download and share.

This track is chillingly haunting but strangely intoxicating as well. There’s something charismatic about the tune. I think it fits perfectly with Benedict’s incarnation of Smaug in The Hobbit series.

Also, immensely thrilled to hear you’re a Sherlock fan. Should’ve known by now through your music that your taste is impeccable. Can’t wait to see what you create for Sherlock! Bring it!

Oh thank you so much, that’s one of the loveliest comments I’ve had on this song so far. I’m so glad you like it.
I got into Sherlock a bit late and sort of binge-watched them all over the course of a week and it’s totally amazing. I can’t wait to create something musically for this show! Benedict is an absolute legend.

I’ll second that about intoxicating! Heh, when I was listening to this, I could already envision someone (with better video editing skills than myself) putting together a video with this song and clips of Smaug from the movie. The furnace in my chest made me recall when we saw Smaug’s chest glowing like a furnace (with wings!) and the little thief made me think of when Bilbo is trying to stay hidden (“I smell you, feel your air…….(fast forward) …there you are, thief!”) VERY well done, making me recall scenes like that so vividly.

Hello, Karliene! I tried to find a contact email to see if you would be interested in performing in Palm Beach, Florida. I stumbled across you and you are nothing short of magnificent!

    Met me know.

Hi Mark, can I ask what’s happening on Palm Beach in Florida? Is it some kind of music festival?
I currently reside in Australia so I’m not sure if I can really make it financially but i’m thrilled with the offer. I’d love to find out more maybe for a future performance.
