Sansa’s Hymn

One of my personal favourite GOT songs, I loved creating and experimenting with this one. Sansa sings this during the Battle of the Blackwater so I added some battle sounds at the beginning to set the mood. I wanted to sing it as if it could have been sung by her in the tv show.

Anyway, I hope you all like it. Feel free to download and use how ever you like.

    Hauntingly, achingly, beautiful.
As a former infantryman, this song resonates in a deep and private place. It brings to mind visage of a mother, sitting alone and silently sending a supplication to God; whispering a prayer and asking for the safety of her child. A prayer that comes from the feelings of helplessness that a mother must feel when she knows that her child is in harms way, and that she cannot protect him.
The internet contains many things, some good, some bad, and much that is trivial and senseless. But this, this is like seeing a small and beautiful thing in a place where small and beautiful things should not be able to survive. Like a flower growing in a dirty and disused industrial wasteland, it makes you stop and be still and marvel at its loveliness.
Thank you for being who you are, thank you for sharing your gift with us.

    Gently Mother,
