The Dornishman’s Wife

So I decided to go all raw and primal with this Game of Thrones song since it’s essentially a song about lust, sex and murder. I originally started with a traditional, folksy version but I was bored and felt I needed to spice it up a bit and do something a bit darker and a bit more exiting.
Really hope you guys like my take on this song, it was a lot of fun to make.

This is… amazing! OMG. HBO needs to hire you for every season from now on, seriously. Because your renditions of the ASOIAF songs are so perfect. I feel like the way you sing these songs is how I envisioned the songs when coming across them while reading the series. I think it’s because I feel like your voice has a very beautiful, almost medieval quality to it that just fits with all of these songs. You should make just a ASOIAF soundtrack from all of the ones you did, and send it to GRRM. I’m seriously. Just fantastic.

I know you have a lot of request, but I sincerely think that the poem of Luthien and Beren would be a beautiful song 🙂 It’s the poem that Aragorn tell to the Hobbits in the first book of The Lord of the Rings.

Anyway, I realy enjoy listen your songs 🙂

(Btw, sorry if my english is not that good… I’m from Argentina)

I absoloutly adore your song’s, you have a rare and beautiful voice. I constantly check to see if you have done any new songs so i can download them… Lol, i made special compilation for my car so when i go out and it’s hot weather i open the car window and play it loud.. lol also i walk to morrisson’s so i can listen to them all on my phone and sing along as I’m walking with the dog..
I have noticed that your version of “red wedding” is not available to download. It’s quite a poignant twist and reflective and i would like to add it to my compilation.

Hi ,love that’s great i can’t wait to get my hands on it. , when is it out, Do i have to wait along time ?.. Lol now you said your doing one i’m dying to get my hands on it.. Will deff be played in the car all the time. I was wondering also if you had considered doing a celtic song called , chi mi na mhorbheanna, I like the version by the rankin family but i think your beauttifull voice would do justice better, I’m like you in the sense that i love folksy music and the game of thrones songs and the latest. Last of the giant’s – And i think your voice is quite rustic so it really does these kind of songs,… lol hope you don’t think i’m being awful by saying rustic, i just mean that’s how these folk songs should sound and thats why they are so enchanting when you sing them. Sorry waffleing on. CAN’T WAIT …. xx

    By the dornish man’s spear
    I’ve been wounded
    so badly

    But the dornish woman’s voice
    pierced my heart
    even more deadly

For me (and surely for many others) your voice opened a secret gate to Weseteros … and will ever bring me back.

  25. Karliene July 26, 2013 at 5:10 pm
