The Last of the Giants

I actually thought this song would be easy as it’s melancholic and wistful which is right up my alley but my god, this song was the most frustrating thing I’ve ever made. Usually I hate when people tell me I can’t sing something because i’m not “male” but I think perhaps in this instance, having a really deep, penetrating voice would have worked better, I sound too….well…..small for this song.
Luckily this song is sung by wildlings so I’m just going for that angle and hoping I get away with it. Now I just need George to write a song about “The Last of the Munchkins” and I’ll be right as rain.

Enjoy. X

This brought tears to my eyes… Yes, it may have been suited for a strong, male voice, but you did an outstanding job with your own voice. I am in total awe over the raw passion I hear in each song of yours. <3

Ygritte would shed a tear and say “You know nuthin’ n more kneeler.”, yet you capture her voice and felt why she shed a tear when she sang it for Jon Snow. I’d like to see you take a stab at Tyrion’s song made for the Lord Hand and his lady Shae.

    Oh. my. god.
Just got to your website by coincidence. And listened to all your songs. You have a great voice, and this song is my favorite. Your voice is perfect for it, and I think it wouldn’t have been better with a male or stronger voice…

I just shared your website with all my friends on facebook. You are my new discovery. ๐Ÿ™‚

When I was reading the books, and Ygritte was singing this song, I imagined no other voice to capture this song but yours ever since I’ve heard it. You nailed it. I posted this song on my facebook and I’ve been sharing with all of my fellow friends. Thanks again!

I must ask about the lyrics. Do You write it yourself or I missed it somehow in G.R.R. Martin’s books? And, is there any way to get full lyrics? I can’t understand You perfectly, I’m not native english speaker but I want it badly, I’m in love with this song ๐Ÿ™‚

It is indeed a song from the Game of Thrones books, ‘A Storm of Swords”.
Here’s a link to the lyrics for you. Glad you like the song.

I guess I missed it because written version is much less touching then sung by You. Not to mention poor translation. But thanks very much for Your response ๐Ÿ™‚

Hey Karliene, I’m a teenger from Alabama. I just discovered your music today! Holy crap its amazing! This song was beautiful! I actually felt this overwhelming sense of sadness. I can’t stop listening to your music now lol.

Anyways, have you considered making a song for one of the Game of Thrones song called “hands of gold”? I think you’d pull it off quite well.

I’ve been listening to all of your ASoIaF/GoT songs lately, and i absolutely loved them! Have you ever thought about making a song with the Night’s Watch’s oath? I think it would sound incredible with your voice! Your songs are awesome, congrats!

    Karliene,

This is absolutely my favorite song of yours. I have been listening for a couple months now and have your songs on repeat on my plan list You should never doubt yourself when on performing this song. Your voice adds the melancholy needed to display the emotion behind the song. It is just perfect. could listen a thousand time more.
