About Me

I’m passionate about music and love to explore new ways of telling stories through sounds. All my life i’ve found myself gazing off into other realms where knights charge into battles with dragons and maidens sing from arched windows. I’m a hopeless romantic and a true geek through and through which will probably be evident in my song choices.

Feel free to have a meander through my halls of sound and do take what you like, my music is free to download.
Enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by.

Have fun

Have you ever heard “Greenwaves” by Secret Garden? I think you would sound so brilliant singing it! I love your music so much! I have shared your music with some of my fellow Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones fans, and it is our collective opinion that you are beyond talented! I really love your song, I Will Always Find You, do you think you will write any more pieces inspired by OUAT? This is getting really long and I’m sorry for that, so Merry Christmas!

  8. Cathy C February 4, 2015 at 1:10 am

I love what you do, you have such a beautiful voice! The Last Goodbye in your version makes me cry even harder than the original song. I was listening to some of the Brave soundtrack and I think “Touch the Sky” would be a really nice song for you to cover. Keep going, lass, you rock!

  9. Amin February 8, 2015 at 1:18 am

    Dear Karliene,
You have a great voice and I definitely love your voice.

I recently remembered about all your fan videos that you used to make, like eternal love and some others, and got really excited because i wanted to rewatch them. But I can’t seem to find them on your website anymore. Were they taken down because you wanted this website to be strictly focused on your music, (which is fantastic btw)? If so, is there somewhere else that I can watch them? I’m such a big fan of them and I would really love to be able to see them again!
    Thanks for your time XOXO

  14. Karliene March 5, 2015 at 11:30 am

I’m sorry, I’m afraid I did remove all my fan-fiction videos as I got more and more into my music. It just seemed too confusing to have fan fictions alongside all my music news. I do still have them on my old computer so perhaps I’ll look at uploading them somewhere for you to watch, either that or I could maybe send you them somehow?

  15. Ash Blaze March 11, 2015 at 3:09 pm

You have a voice of a angel

  16. Idolores March 19, 2015 at 11:30 am

Your music brings me to other worlds, and somehow makes me nostalgic for eras I couldn’t possibly have experienced.

I discovered your music this evening, after hearing your version of “We Don’t Need Another Hero.” I was in awe. Your voice is that of an angel! I soon found myself purchasing every selection you have on iTunes, before finding your Web site. Thank you for using your beautiful talent and for becoming one of my new favorite artists. Your voice and your music is heaven!

  22. Karliene April 9, 2015 at 2:00 pm

Thank you so much, you’re comments are so lovely and really encourage me.
    Happy listening! x

  23. Darian Cheek April 19, 2015 at 3:02 am

Hi Ms. Karliene! My name is Darian Cheek if it’s not already posted on the comment. I LOVE your singing and would love to get to know you. I love to sing and I was wondering if you could give me a few tips. I am a 14 year old girl that loves to read and write. I was wondering if you could help me write some songs for my books that I am writing. Most of them are more like Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings and since you already have some experience writing and singing most of those songs I thought you would be a big help. Thanks (whether you help me or not, I just want to say that you are and always will be a big rolemodel of mine. Sorry my spelling isn’t very good. I hope to hear back from you.

  24. Darian Cheek April 19, 2015 at 4:58 am

Hey Karliene, I’m sorry for bothering you, but I just listened to a beautiful song by Erutan. I’ll put a link in the comment to it. It might work idk. It’s called Willow Maid. I’ve fallen in love with it and I can’t stop listening to it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E52rxz2sjRs I hope the link works. If not you can just look it up.

  25. Michele C April 22, 2015 at 8:27 am

I want to thank you so much! I love your music, your imagination, and your voice! After finding one of your youtube videos (Smaug’s Song) I just had to download your music (and donate too of course!).

Thank you! And you really should look into getting onto a record/deal!!

  26. Ireth April 24, 2015 at 12:23 am

Just wanted to say I LOVE what you do! Your version of “Love Song For a Vampire” is one of my absolute favorites. I can never listen to it just once. Any chance you could make “Galadriel’s Song” available for downloading?

    All the best,

  27. Darian Cheek April 24, 2015 at 6:59 am

Hello, Ms. Karliene! My name is Darian (if its not already told you XD). I am a 15 year girl that adores your songs and your voice. I love to sing and it would be an absolute honor to get some tips from you. Do you write some of your own songs? If so, that’s really cool. I find it difficult to write songs, so I write books instead. I just find it difficult to write songs for my books, much less sing them. If you have any tips that would be wonderful!

  28. Darian Cheek April 24, 2015 at 7:02 am

Sorry to be a bother, but I saw a few people in the comments suggest songs to you. I think that your voice would go beautifully with the Willow Maiden by Erutan.

  29. Karliene April 24, 2015 at 9:04 am

I do write a lot of my own work Darian but I can’t say it’s always an easy process for me. I tend to think of myself more as a story-teller than a song writer. I wouldn’t say I have a strong talent for making deep and meaningful lyrics, just songs that create a scene and an atmosphere. Everyone can write a song, it’s just about finding your own style really. If you ever want any help, feel free to drop me a message on my Facebook page or something. My door is always open. x

  30. Karliene April 24, 2015 at 9:07 am

Thank you so much Ireth but i’m afraid Galadriel’s Song was a very, very old song of mine that got lost on an old, broken hard-drive. I never had a copy of it saved anywhere else so that’s why it sadly doesn’t exist here for downloading. It will always be on You Tube though.

  31. kim widen April 27, 2015 at 3:18 am

    Hi Karliene
I love your covers of the songs you have made and I was really impressed with your Tina Turner cover.I also thing that yor latest entry was superb, there is a lot of old folk song and if I just named a few I would not know where to stop. One I could mention and that is Phil Ochs ‘In the Heat of the Summer’ it is sort of topic now with all the police shooting in USA.

Have you ever heard about Mikis Theodorakis Songs of Songs?
If not, take a look at it on this link to youtube. As far as I know there is not any English version of this song that gets close to the original one, though I know that there are two swedish and one Danish version ad that one of the swedisk and the Danish was made in cooperation with Mikis. It is a very moving and sad song and I always get a tear i my eye when I listen to it, so you are now warned. There are not many songs about the holocaust but this one summens it all up.

take care and I am looking forward to what you will do next

  32. Savanah May 19, 2015 at 11:01 pm

Karliene, I love your music, and just wanted to ask if there was any way you could make I See Fire available on Amazon, since that’s the only place I can buy music (don’t have a credit card) Thanks for creating such great music!

  33. Daniel May 20, 2015 at 12:07 am

Hi Karliene, I found your Youtube channel yesterday and I cannot stop listening. I started with the oldest posts and a few minutes ago I watched the “Thank you” video from 2013 and it was so touching that I wanted to write you a few words. As I (still unsuccessfully) try to fight my own daemons and illness, I understand your past situation and I’m really glad to hear that you already solved the puzzle. And it’s a solution we all can benefit from. Even if I don’t understand English very well, I can fulfil the gaps by the emotions in your voice and music. I would like to thank you and wish you a lot of inspiration in your work and happiness in your life.
    Daniel (Czech Republic)
PS: You are really pretty, but when you smile … oh, you must be an angel

  34. Karliene May 22, 2015 at 7:08 pm

You’re so, so very sweet. Thank you for the touching comment about my music. I’m so happy you’re enjoying my songs. x

  35. Jane Doe May 23, 2015 at 7:10 am

I recently watched some of your videos on youtube, I love your voice and the song you sang about Smaug was wonderful. I cried when I listend to your song about, Danerys she is one of my favorite characters on Game Of Thrones and your lyrics they were just so her. I could picture you singing this to her and her smiling and wipping a tear. Anyways, keep up your good work.

  36. Karliene May 23, 2015 at 8:52 am

Thank you so much. I’m so touched you’re enjoying my music. x

You have done it Again – Posted a beautyful song on the net – Thank you for making it I liked it a lot.
I always are looking forward to your music and I must confess that I think that your cover of We Don’t Need Another Hero (Thunderdome) is fantastic.
If I may say one good thing about the internet then it would be that it is letting talented people like you reach out to an audience who might never ever have discovered their music. I am glad that I did.

  39. Savanah June 19, 2015 at 2:57 am

    You should sing Scarborough Fair!

  40. Apurva June 24, 2015 at 6:23 pm

    Loved the GOT songs
    Dornishman’s wife was the best

  41. Mayura June 25, 2015 at 2:21 pm

Hey Karliene, I only just recently came across your music, but I’m completely in love with it! The first thing I heard was a duet you did for The Last Unicorn, but after that, I quickly figured out how good the rest of your stuff was. Your voice is amazing. My favorite so far is Love Song for a Vampire. I’ll be looking forward to your next song!

  42. Paul July 4, 2015 at 4:06 am

    Dear Karliene,

Your music touches my heart like hardly any other. Therefore I like to tell you about the songs which got me interested in music, many years ago. They are from a Dutch called Nadieh. I wonder what you think of it, your voice might do some of her half-forgotten songs justice … I noticed that some of her work is online, the duet Nadieh / Colin Blunstone – Splendid Morning is one of my all time favorite songs, so delicate and yet with a slight optimism between the dark lines. Nadieh’s own songs “feminine” and “haifa blue” also still give me the shivers … Anyway, can’t wait untill you upload something new.

    Best regards.

  43. Jose Enrique August 13, 2015 at 10:39 pm

Dear Karliene, this is Jose Enrique, from Spain.
I found your music a couple of months ago on youtube. I do not usually get in touch with my favorite artists but I have been hearing and sharing your songs from the day I found you and I cannot stop hearing and sharing it, so I think it is fair, at least, to say thank you.
Voice is amazing, songs are awesome, but what I like the most is that you look free and alive while singing, and this feeling stands out on your videos.
Thanks Scotland and good luck, true love and long life to you, for we to enjoy hundred years your music proposal.

  44. Karliene August 15, 2015 at 7:23 am

Thank you, what a lovely comment. I’m so touched and happy that you decided to get in touch and i’m thrilled you’ve been enjoying my music these past months. There’s always plenty more in the works so stay tuned.
    All the best, x

  45. Jeff September 1, 2015 at 12:05 pm

Hey, I wish you would do a song about Fitzchivalry Farseer… Not sure if you ever read Robin Hobb but her books are simply amazing and although their aren’t a lot of lyrics in her books like Martin has it would be nice if someone like you could make some songs about it.

  46. Kenna Knox September 3, 2015 at 2:36 pm

Hey Karliene! I love your Music! I was wondering; do you have sheet music or lyrics for sale or anywhere your fans can find it?? I play tin whistle and there are some songs that have GREAT flute/whistle parts!
Thank you for all you do!
    -Kenna J.

  47. Karliene September 3, 2015 at 7:42 pm

    Hi Kenna,
I’m afraid I don’t read or write music so I have no sheets for you. Everything is played entirely by ear and feel. I’m so sorry i can’t be any more help with that as I’d love to hear your flute/ whistle on some of the songs.

  48. José Enrique September 8, 2015 at 2:18 am

    Dear Karliene.
Please, do not be worried for reading or writing music. We all can read music on you.
    So thank you again.

  49. DaSaphira September 8, 2015 at 3:48 am

haven’t played the games yet, but the story is awesome!

  50. Kenna Knox September 9, 2015 at 7:56 am
